Loktin is operated by MAISON M LLC dba Loktin ("MAISON M," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how we handle information when you use loktin.co and related Loktin services. Loktin is an informational directory and search tool. It does not provide professional advice, endorse or recommend products or services, or make decisions for users. Any decision to contact, use, purchase from, or rely on a business or service provider is made solely by the site user.

Information we collect

We may collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, business-update request, search request, calendar interaction, or other message. We also receive technical information normally sent by a browser or hosting provider, including IP address, country or region metadata used for access controls, device and browser details, referring URL, pages viewed, approximate timestamps, and interactions such as outbound-link clicks. We may receive information from a business or its authorized representative when a listing is corrected or updated.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Loktin uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-KSBYHXCPY6) to understand visits and site use, and Google AdSense to display advertising. These services may use cookies, local storage, pixels, device identifiers, IP addresses, and similar technologies for measurement, security, frequency management, and—where enabled by Google—personalized advertising. Google’s use is governed by its own policies and controls. You can manage cookies and advertising preferences through your browser and Google’s ad settings.

How we use information

We use information to operate, secure, maintain, and improve Loktin; measure traffic; prevent abuse; respond to requests; maintain accurate listings; administer advertising; and comply with legal obligations. We may use aggregated or de-identified information for these purposes.

Informational listings and third-party links

Listings, labels, categories, search results, event entries, advertisements, and links are provided for convenience and information only. They are not endorsements, rankings, warranties, guarantees, referrals, or professional recommendations. Users are responsible for evaluating any business, event, product, service, website, availability, pricing, licensing, quality, or suitability before acting. Third-party sites have their own content, security, and privacy practices; Loktin does not control or guarantee them.

Sharing

We may share information with providers that host, secure, analyze, store, or operate the service, including Cloudflare (hosting, security, and D1 storage), Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Google Fonts. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public. If you submit a request that asks us to contact or update a business, we may share the information needed to fulfill that request. We do not sell personal information for money.

Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including security, fraud prevention, legal, accounting, and operational needs. Analytics and advertising providers may retain information under their own policies. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach requiring notice, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may decline optional information, control cookies in your browser, and use Google’s advertising and analytics controls. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of personal information, or to opt out of targeted advertising. Submit a privacy request through the Loktin website; we may verify your identity before fulfilling it and will respond within the time required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against people who exercise applicable privacy rights.

Children

Loktin is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, please submit a privacy request so we can review and delete it when required.

International processing

Loktin and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those locations may have different data-protection rules.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. Material changes will be highlighted when practical.
