Our new city guides focus on locally operated businesses and small independent groups. Independent businesses are our starting point. Some city selections also include reader-requested regional groups and recognizable brands; inclusion does not imply independent ownership. Landmarks and notable visitor experiences may appear separately, with group ownership identified.

Useful information, honestly presented.

We review business information and public event schedules. Inclusion does not imply a firsthand visit, a service guarantee or a paid endorsement. Menus, hours, prices and access arrangements can change; contact the business about your specific needs.

A calendar that stays local.

We bring dated events together on each city’s calendar. Events may be run by small businesses, museums, community organizations or local government. We check times and venues, distinguish free entry from paid admission, and refresh the calendars weekly.
